The EnergyTech Market Ready Support (EMRS) 2026 program provides funding and support to in-market EnergyTech startups to deliver a defined commercialisation project.

Projects must achieve a specific, measurable commercial outcome, such as converting a pilot into a customer or securing a commercial agreement.

Six grants of $50,000 each are available from a total funding pool of $300,000.

Grant recipients will receive structured engagement with DEECA during the grant period, including monthly check-ins and support to help navigate relevant energy policy, regulatory and market settings.

EMRS is delivered by DEECA's Energy Group as part of the Digital Energy Economy Program (DEEP), a coordinated package of EnergyTech innovation support for Victorian startups.

Objectives

The program supports startups with innovative energy solutions that benefit consumers and contribute to Victoria's energy transition. Funding is provided to:

  • enable pilots, demonstration or commercial steps that lead to customer uptake or revenue generation
  • support defined commercialisation projects that help startups progress towards market readiness or expansion
  • strengthen the pipeline of investable Victorian EnergyTech startups
  • increase collaboration between government, industry and the startup ecosystem.
