By upgrading your windows, you can reduce your electric bills and save energy.
Eligibility
Victorian households and most businesses with single-glazed windows can receive discounts for window upgrades.
- You must install an approved product to be eligible for incentives. To find an approved product, visit: VEU register of approved products
- select the following from the drop down menu:
- For double glazing – ‘13(18) - Double glazed window’.
- For secondary glazing creating an air gap – ‘14(18) - Thermally efficient window product’.
- click search.
If you have installed an eligible product and would like to organise a retrospective rebate, an accredited provider may be able to guide you through the process.

Living in a rental property?
If you’re living in a private rental property, you are eligible to receive a discount on window glazing.
We recommend that landlords and tenants work together when doing any upgrades to a rental property.

*Your final installation cost, including your discount, is determined by your accredited provider.
This cost depends on your:
- certificate price (which fluctuates)
- choice of product and/ or upgrade
- location
- installation costs
- accredited provider’s administrative costs.
