Victoria's energy system is changing.

Coal fired power is retiring faster than expected, and we need to accelerate the transition to renewable energy that will light up Victorian homes, power businesses, and ensure our hospitals, schools, and other critical services run smoothly. Victoria is fortunate to have some of the world's best renewable resources, including offshore wind.

As wind farms are built offshore, we'll connect their energy to the grid to direct it to where it's needed most.

At VicGrid, we are working with communities to reduce impacts, avoid unnecessary power lines, and keep costs down.

Our shared goal by 2032 is clear to generate enough offshore wind energy to power 1.5 million homes.

This is our chance to futureproof our power grid for a brighter, more sustainable tomorrow.
