The energy transformation in Victoria is well underway. The transition to clean energy will bring jobs and investment. It will also create demand for new skills to deliver the industry's cheaper, more reliable energy. We support this by promoting innovation, fostering skills and developing robust supply chains.

We also work with the Centre for New Energy Technologies (C4NET) on various projects, focusing specifically on energy data. C4NET was created as an independent, not-for-profit business to bring together industry, government and research institutions to develop innovative projects that promote the uptake of new energy technologies in Victoria.
Supply chain development
By mapping the supply chain and identifying businesses with strong capabilities, we will improve local participation in building, operating and maintaining large renewable energy projects in the supply of emerging energy technologies. The Victorian Government will sponsor projects that are likely to require local content. Supporting and developing local capability is critical.
Project developers can find local capabilities (materials, technologies services) in the Victorian wind and solar farm supply chain directory. The directory document is available on request by emailing the Business and Industry Engagement team.
