Six Victorian startups developing cutting-edge energy technologies will be supported to grow their businesses, reach new customers and bring innovative solutions to the market through the EnergyTech Market Ready Support (EMRS) 2026 program.
Each startup will receive an equity-free grant of $50,000 to undertake their next commercial step and expand practical solutions for a cleaner, more reliable and affordable energy system.
The 6 Victorian startups - Bigger Energizer, ELIoT, Exergenics, n0de, Solstice AI, and Totex Energy - have developed a range of technologies including AI-powered solar analytics, integrated home electrification, building-cooling optimisation, electric waste trucks, smart refrigeration batteries and customised energy-transition planning for businesses.
Delivered by the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) through the Digital Energy Economy Program, the EMRS program provides targeted funding to Victorian startups with solutions already in market, complemented by engagement and support from DEECA throughout the grant period.
The successful applicants were selected from a highly competitive field, highlighting the strength of Victoria's EnergyTech sector and its significant growth potential.
Victoria is home to more than 4,400 startups with a combined value of approximately $139 billion supporting 66,900 jobs globally, providing a strong foundation for EnergyTech innovation and commercialisation.
EMRS builds on previous initiatives including the 2025 CivVic Labs EnergyTech Challenge delivered in partnership with LaunchVic, which combined with Breakthrough Victoria to form Innovation Victoria. The challenge supported 16 emerging ventures through equity-free funding, mentoring and industry connections, helping to strengthen capability and accelerate growth.
